Somerset County Healthy Living: Keeping Up the Beat Free Heart Health Workshop in Bound Brook

In observance of February- National Heart Health Month, the Somerset County Department of Health is offering Keeping Up the Beat, a FREE community workshop on Wednesday, February 20 at 7:00 pm at the Bound Brook, New Jersey Library.

Presented by Cynthia S. Kusorgbor, MPH, CHES - Health Educator/Risk Communicator, Somerset County Department of Health, this is interactive 45-minute workshop will offer the following benefits:

* You will learn about how taking an active role in your own health can lead to healthier outcomes and a decrease in illnesses and disabilities associated with chronic disease

* Learn about how disease management and prevention, through adopting a healthier lifestyle, can prevent or control the devastating effects of many of the nation’s leading causes of death, regardless of one’s age

* You will learn what the term “healthy lifestyle” actually means

* Identify what changes you can make in your daily lives, in order to achieve a healthier way of life
